For the past 17 years Robyn Hoye Vitson has been known as an accomplished and popular Chicago area vocalist, pianist, and accompanist, as well as a respected piano educator. Her musical training includes Broadway, Classical, Country & Western, Gospel, Jazz, New Age and Pop. She has performed for numerous weddings, private parties, corporate events, recitals, restaurants, musicals and fundraising events all over the country, including Las Vegas, NV, Los Angeles, CA, Milwaukee, WI and Nashville, TN. Although she loves performing throughout the United States she considers the "Windy City" her home. |

Robyn has performed in front of numerous politicians including the honorable Illinois U.S. Congressman Henry J.Hyde who was quoted as saying: "I hear many, many national anthems sung by various people, including Whitney Houston at the Super Bowl, but I have never heard any this good." Her most exciting event, thus far, was when she sang "The National Anthem" for a political fundraiser that George W. Bush spoke at in March of 2000 in St. Charles, IL. Besides performing Robyn also teaches private piano lessons, is a substitute teacher in the public schools in various districts, and is on staff as a pianist at the upscale department store Von Maur, comparable to Nordstrom's. Robyn has two music degrees: one from Wheaton College where she graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance & Pedagogy and one from Northern Illinois University where she obtained a Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance & Pedagogy. Robyn grew up in Erie, PA where her family still resides. Her hobbies include walking, playing tennis, movies, concerts, and reading. Aside from performing Robyn also enjoys spending time with husband/manager/songwriter/guitarist James. |
